Subaru with the Quetzal Route 2010

The XXV edition of the BBVA Quetzal Route began last June 17 and will travel throughout Mexico, Spain and Portugal.

The expedition will visit Mexico, to commemorate the bicentennial of its independence, beginning in Vercruz and continuing on to Uxmal and Chichen Itza, and visiting colonial cities like Campeche and Merida.

Almost 270 youngsters from 53 countries will discover the Mayan routes and historic and natural heritage of this American country.

The XXV edition will cross the Atlantic during the first weeks of July to cover a variety of places throughout Spain (with special participation in the Camino de Santiago and Xacobeo celebration), ending in the last days of July with the delivery of diplomas during an event organised by the Universidad Complutense of Madrid.

Five Subarus will support the expedition. The fleet will include three Foresters and two Outbacks, equipped with the new Boxer Diesel technology. These vehicles are perfect for this type of event thanks to their reliability, space, load capacity, excellent mileage, etc. With this action, Subaru joins another initiative focused on enjoying nature and the dissemination of culture.
