The Rexton comfortably won the fourth stage of the Spanish Off-road Regularity Cup with a car specially prepared for the occasion and driven by a member of staff of the official SsangYong dealer in Teruel.
Meanwhile, the Korando, equipped with a 2 litre 149 hp turbo diesel engine, achieved a brilliant average consumption figure of only 5.3 litres/100 km. It required only 8 litres of fuel to complete the demanding course of the Eco Challenge and rose to first place in the SUV 4×2 category, overtaking smaller vehicles with less powerful engines in the process. It also reached an overall second place, standing out of a total of 33 entered cars, being surpassed only by a vehicle with a 1300 cc engine.
These two excellent results demonstrate the remarkable fuel efficiency of the SsangYong engines as well as the excellent off-road capabilities of the SUV range from the oldest Korean manufacturer.
