In keeping with a 2016 that’s full of surprises and growth, Chery Motors has launched its new Arrizo5. An outstanding example of the new generation of its products, which provides a high level of comfort, equipment, and safety that rounds out the brand’s offer of sedans on a global level. In addition, this marks a milestone in the automobile industry by being the first time that a Chinese brand has launched a new model outside its borders.
“The fact that Chile was chosen for this launch reflects its excellent performance as a distributor, as well as Chile’s highly competitive market. Furthermore, the attendance of Chery´s President, and our designer James Hope, reinforces the importance they place on continuing to drive their growth in our country”, said Hugo Castro, General Manager of Chery Chile.
“Launching this model globally outside of China, is a very powerful sign of the determined steps Chery has taken to transform itself into a relevant player within the global automotive industry”, Hugo adds.
Through its lines and materials, the new Arrizo5 reflects a modern, sporty design, the result of teamwork between designers led by James Hope, Hakan Sarakoglu and Sergio Loureiro. For our new model, they were inspired by water, Yin/Yan and the architecture of temples, their own identity and DNA, but connected to international trends.
Arrizo5 has 4 versions with 5-speed manual transmission and 7-speed automatic transmission, both with a 115 HP ACTECO engine with 141 N.m. of torque. In addition, depending on the version, they are highly equipped with touch screens, rear-view camera, Bluetooth, USB radio with steering-wheel control, sunroof, follow me home function, remote control door closure and parking sensor, among others.
In terms of active and passive safety systems, the brand’s new model meets the highest standards, receiving 5 stars from the C-NCAP.
