Bergé Auto continues its international expansion as the new distributor for all the brands of FCA Group (Fiat Chrylser Automobiles) in the Finnish market


As part of its international growth strategy, Bergé Auto has acquired from FCA Group the distribution of all its brands for the Finnish market (Fiat – Fiat Professional – Jeep – Alfa Romeo and Abarth). The new distribution company’s activities  – Italmotor Finland Oy –  will begin effective November 1, 2019.

This operation is a step forward that consolidates Bergé Auto as one of the leading automobile distributors in Europe and Latin America, while reinforcing its position as an international strategic partner for FCA Group.

Maurizio Zuares, Head of EMEA Business Centers Operations – FCA  states that «We are delighted to welcome Bergé Auto as our partner for the Finnish market, and are fully confident that their proven business skills, commitment towards digitalization and the customer centricity of their distribution model, will prove essential for the long-term growth of all our brands in Finland”.

Bergé Auto has been present in the Finnish market since 2018, representing Kia and Mitsubishi, and expects to close 2019 with total sales of 9,700 units, and a market share of around 9.0%. With this new acquisition, together with the other two brands, Bergé Auto aims to achieve total sales of 20,000 units by 2022, with an estimated market share of 14% of the Finnish market.

As the basis for this aggressive three-year growth plan, Bergé Auto is fully committed to develop, at a local level, its proven experience in the international distribution of automobiles by applying an ambitious strategy based on the digitalization of all its activities to gain deep customer knowledge, and boost performance and agility of all its operations.

In addition, the following will also be key elements for this growth: promotion of the unique values associated with all FCA Group brands, determined support for the current dealer network and the capitalization of a robust launch strategy of new products with great emphasis in hybrid and electric powertrains.

All of which are included within a short and medium-term extensive growth strategy ofBergé Auto in this region, that not only would encompass Finland but the remaining Nordic and Baltic countries as well.

Bergé Auto forecasts sales to reach 170,000 units with a turnover of 3.4 Billion Euros in 2019.
