Subaru has named the motorcycle rider Álex Rins, current leader of the Moto2 World Championship, as the brand’s new ambassador in Spain.
Both on and off the track Álex represents all the values with which Subaru Spain fully identifies: sportsmanship, competitiveness, commitment and effort to continue improving day by day. His professionalism and talent have made him one of the most brilliant riders in the world motorcycle championship, but he is also a great fan of Subaru vehicles.
The rider was delighted to receive of one of our models and he confessed to us, “the World-Rally Blue Subaru WRX STI was my favourite racing car when I was a child, because of its victories in the World Rally Championship, and it’s still one of my weaknesses.”
From now on, Álex will be able to enjoy its exceptional sportiness and performance every day. The car was handed over at the new facilities of the Official Subaru Dealer “Japan Lesseps”, located in Barcelona.
Rins first competed in the Motorcycle World Championship in 2012 at the age of 16, after winning the CEV (Spanish Speed Championship) in 2011, and has enjoyed great results ever since his early races. Despite the fact that he is still only 20, he has demonstrated great skill and maturity and has obtain so far: 12 victories, 37 podiums, 17 pole positions and 11 fastest laps in this competition.
