Subaru, official car of the 2013 Quetzal route

This year, during its twenty-eighth edition, the Quetzal Route will proceed from the Darien Jungle in Panama and then follow the steps of Charles V in Europe.

The 225 expeditioners from 53 countries are commemorating the quincentenary of the discovery of the Pacific Ocean by Vasco Núñez de Balboa, by following in the steps of the discoverer from Extremadura.

After passing through Panama, the tour visited Belgium and France, and their adventure will conclude in Spain, visiting the Paular Monastery, Madrid, Jerez de los Caballeros and the Yuste Monastery and the journey will end at the Escorial Monastery, in whose Royal Crypt Charles V is buried.
