SsangYong España Supports The Sailing World Championship 2014

The Sailing World Championship will be the qualifier for the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil and will see the participation of 1,400 sailors in the 1,000 boats that have been registered, representing 100 countries.

The agreement was announced at a ceremony held at the Club Marítimo de Santander where Íñigo de la Serna, Mayor of Santander, and Jaime Gorbeña, Chairman of Bergé y Cía, were accompanied by the President of the Spanish Sailing Federation, José Antonio Rodriguez.

To celebrate its participation in the Sailing World Championship, SsangYong Spain will  launch a special limited series of the Rodius, “Santander 2014”, which will be available with a discount of up to €6,000 off the retail price if the vehicle is purchased through a especially designed finance program.

The mascot of the World Championships, “Sardi”, and the giant, four meter high clock that marks the countdown to the start of the competition have also been created with the collaboration of Bergé y Cía, in a significant demonstration of its links with the Cantabrian capital.
