Infiniti Spain, fifth anniversary

The launch of the Infiniti brand in the old continent was an exceptional event because it was the only important make of luxury cars that was still not being sold in the most demanding and mature market in the world.

Along with Spain, the group of six European countries to first open an Infiniti Centre also included Switzerland, Italy and France. The opening of the Madrid Infiniti Centre was followed by the opening of Centres in Barcelona and Valencia, completing the first phase of the establishment of the brand in our country.

Later on, Centres were opened in Seville, Bilbao and Andorra, and this was followed by a third phase of nationwide coverage that involved opening Centres in A Coruña, Oviedo, Burgos, Girona, Zaragoza, Alicante, Murcia, Malaga and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

With regard to the models, progress has also been remarkable. The iconic FX model continues to be the most recognised and the one that is sold the most. Following this are the EX, which being the first crossover coupé on the market created a new category of vehicles; the spectacular convertible; the efficient coupé; and the most recent: the Infiniti M luxury saloon, and this year’s novelty, the new Infiniti Q50.

With engines of 4, 6 and 8 cylinders, for petrol and diesel, exclusive hybrid engines and always with state-of-the-art technology, Infiniti has many reasons to celebrate this fifth anniversary, prelude to a splendid future that was previewed at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show with the presentation of its new compact, the Q30.
