At the beginning of this decade, Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) began an ambitious strategic plan for Europe to set up manufacturing plants for their vehicles and acquire the most important distribution companies in this continent.
As a consequence of this strategic plan, on 3 November, Bergé Automoción and HMC officially signed the agreement by which HMC takes over the distribution of the brand in our country. From an economic point of view, this agreement should be considered highly satisfactory for Bergé, an acknowledgment of Hyundai Spain’s brilliant 18-year history.
This agreement, already made official by both companies, should be authorised by the competent authorities in upcoming weeks.
Bergé and the Hyundai Group will continue to develop common projects in Spain for automobile logistics and financial services. In addition, they will jointly evaluate new fields of collaboration in international locations.
